Easy care
Spread your rug on smooth surfaces such as stone, ceramic, mosaic or flooring. The surface should be smooth, dry and dustless.
Do not spread your rug on plaster, soil or lime surfaces as these material will decompose silk and wool.
Although rugs’ heavy weight limits their movement, in time they will slowly move towards a random direction. It is better to put a rug pad underneath it to prevent unnecessary movement and increase your rug’s durability.
Please refrain from putting heavy objects with thin base such as slim furniture on rugs, as excess pressure can cause dents and prolonged pressure can cause fabric damage. If there are no alternative solutions, make sure to change the position of your furniture’s legs at least once a month.
Heavy traffic on a specific spot of rug will cause abrasion. To avoid this, flip your rug at least twice a year depending on the amount of traffic, to preserve thread and improve fabric resistance.
Refrain from putting vase and small plants on or next to a rug. One of the main reasons for abrasion is the leftover water from excessive plant watering.
Do not use bleaching material for washing the rug or rug’s roots. The chemicals will cause premature decay.
Furthermore, refrain from putting the rug under direct sun exposure. e.g. next to windows.
Check your rug every couple of years and wash it if necessary. Keep in mind that while it’s important to keep a rug clean, excessive washing can reduce durability.
